Crazy Cakes
The authors goal of this blog of horrible cakes is to wake us up to the horribleness of the cakes. The author both wants to entertain us as well as awaken us to the stupidity of some people, hopefully not ourselves. To this end, I do believe that the author is successful. They are able to get the readers' attention and keep us involved for a long time. The Kairos of this sight is great. Cakes are made and decorated all year long. There are also differnt holidays throughout the year that can add variety to the site with a specific type.

Like you said the Karios is great. People are making cakes all year long and sometimes it is nice to see the different ways you can make cakes...or destroy cakes. So is the author's goal to entertain us or to inform us up the horribleness of cakes?

ReplyDeletemikhaela, I think that the audience would be anyone who wants to make a cake, whether professional or just at home. The author includes pictures of actually pretty cakes that a person can take inspiration from, as well as shows the mishaps that are there to warn us of problems that arise.
ReplyDeleteChelsie, I think the authors goal is to inform us of horrible mistakes that you can make with a cake, but in a way that allows us to laugh off our mistakes. The entertainment comes from how the author gives the information.
