so much cooler online...

1) It has become a rising trend to build alternate realities online and living through them, rather than living in the world around them.

2) The internet has allowed people to become extremely anonymous and allowed people to break the "social contract" between people. Because they feel that they won't have to face the consequences because nobody know who they are.

3) In contrast the internet has plenty of personal information allowing people to stalk one another easier.

  1. Good topics, maybe you could hone them into topics that are more specific (maybe you can get more info about them). Just tryin to help. ;)

  2. It appears to me, trough these topics, that you think the interet is a negative thing. Would that be a focus on your paper?

  5. That second choice would be fun to research. It's just so interesting that once you are "anonymous" all the normal social rules, civility, and etiquette are thrown out the window.

  6. i like what Aaron said. the internet removes consequences. from illegal downloading to anonymous bashing. people are who they really are when no one is watching, or more importantly when no one knows its them.

  7. Oh many, I saw your title and just laughed...and then started singing the song. You could probably talk about that song in your paper. So like Chelsey said, are you against all of it? Those would all be interesting to research.
